An Egyptian navy supply ship arrived at Port Sudan Tuesday with hundreds of tons of relief aid materials for the people in the war-torn country.

The supplies, which included food and medicines, were provided by the Egyptian Red Crescent, the Sudanese embassy in Cairo, the Kuwaiti Red Crescent, and the Arab League.

The ship’s arrival aligns with President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi’s instructions to provide humanitarian aid to Sudan.

The supplies target the areas most severely affected by the ongoing conflict between the Sudanese armed forces and Sudan’s Rapid Support Forces militias.

Meanwhile, Sudanese officials expressed gratitude for Egypt’s efforts to support Sudan during its time of need, praising the Egyptian political leadership for its tireless efforts to help Sudan and the Sudanese people at this critical juncture.
