Over 60,000 civilians have been evacuated from dangerous regions of Ukraine over the past 8 months, including more than 7,000 children
This was reported by the Ministry for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories .
“In particular, since August 2022, mandatory evacuation from the Donetsk region has continued. Thus, over 60,000 citizens moved to safe regions in 8 months. Among them, more than 7,000 children and more than 2.5 thousand people with limited mobility,” the press service writes. .
It is reported that the evacuation from the liberated territories began last fall. Almost 25,000 civilians were evacuated from the Kharkiv region alone in 7 months. And more than 21 thousand Ukrainians left the recently de-occupied Kherson region in 5 months.
“For the centralized movement of citizens to safe regions of Ukraine, preparations are being made in advance and all events are planned. The President, government, local authorities, international organizations and volunteers are making every effort to ensure that our fellow citizens are safe,” the department notes.

- On March 2 , mandatory evacuation of families with children and people with limited mobility began from the Kupyansk community of the Kharkiv region .
- On March 3, the Ministry of Reintegration of Ukraine proposed the forced evacuation of children from the war zone and armed conflicts.
- On March 7, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a mechanism for the forced evacuation of children from the combat zone. So far, they are only being exported from Bakhmut.
- Forced evacuation from the combat zone can be introduced in 12 communities of the Donetsk region and in one more – partly from the villages directly bordering the front line.
