Kartapolov: it is recommended that those who are liable for military service return to the Russian Federation for military service, taking a vacation
Russians liable for military service who are currently working abroad are advised to take a year off and return to Russia for military service. This was reported to RBC by the head of the State Duma Defense Committee Andrei Kartapolov.
“If he is subject to conscription, then I would recommend that he take a vacation for a year, serve in the armed forces, pay his debt to the Motherland. And go back abroad, it’s joyful to work there,” the deputy said.
He also stressed that citizens liable for military service who are outside Russia, but not subject to conscription, can electronically send the necessary documents to the military commissariat.
In addition, Kartapolov added that Russians who are on vacation in the Russian Federation will need to come to the military enlistment office and present the necessary documents.
On Tuesday, April 11, the deputies of the State Duma in the third reading adopted a bill on a unified register of persons liable for military service.
